• Designed to be installed behind the panel
• Does not obstruct other panel mounted equipment, saving valuable panel space
• Does not extend beyond the running boards creating a hazard that can be damaged if apparatus is driven too close to an obstacle
• Allows for installation on rescue bodies since it will not interfere with roll-up doors

Performance

• Oversize 6.4” diameter bore allows intake to be used during drafting, providing full single suction 1500 gpm performance on capable pumps
• Does not need to be removed for NFPA or UL testing unlike other intake valves
• Valve design has been shown to enhance the flow characteristics of the pumps where it is installed. Reference the 3000 GPM Qmax-XS White paper for more information

Flexibility in installation

• Easily installed between the suction extension and the suction on all Q-Series pump
• On correctly configured pumps the MIV can be installed on the rear port (T-Port) on Qmax, Qmax-XS, and Qtwo pumps
• Can be installed in line on properly plumbed pumps for front, rear, or side suctions
• Offered in manual and electric with manual override

Features beyond the valve

• Plumbed for an optional intake relief valve (NST, NPT, or grooved coupling)
