Hale Products Inc. Limited Standard Warranty (Fire Service Applications Only)*
EXPRESS WARRANTY: Hale Products, Incorporated ("Hale") hereby
warrants to the original buyer that products manufactured by Hale are
free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of five (5)
years from the date the product is first placed into service or five and
one-half (5-1/2) years from date of shipment by Hale, whichever period
shall be first to expire. Within this warranty period Hale will cover
parts and labor for the first two (2) years and parts only for years
three (3) through five (5).
LIMITATIONS: HALE’S obligation is expressly conditioned on the Product being:
- Subjected to normal use and service.
- Properly installed and maintained in accordance with HALE’S
Instruction Manual and Industry Standards as to recommended service and
procedures.
- Not damaged due to abuse, misuse, negligence or accidental causes.
- Not altered, modified, serviced (non-routine) or repaired other than by an Authorized Service facility.
- Manufactured per design and specifications submitted by the original buyer.
- Used with an appropriate engine as determined by the engine manufacturers published data.
- Excluded are normal wear items identified as but not limited
to packing, strainers, anodes, filters, light bulbs, intake screens,
wear rings, mechanical seals, etc.
THE ABOVE EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE. NO OTHER
EXPRESS WARRANTIES ARE MADE. SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDED ARE ANY IMPLIED
WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATIONS, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR USE; COURSE OF
DEALING; USAGE OF TRADE; OR PATENT INFRINGEMENT FOR A PRODUCT
MANUFACTURED TO ORIGINAL BUYER’S DESIGN AND SPECIFICATIONS.
EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES: If Buyer promptly notifies HALE upon
discovery of any such defect (within the Warranty Period), the following
terms shall apply:
- Any notice to HALE must be in writing, identifying the
Product (or component) claimed defective and circumstances surrounding
its failure.
- HALE reserves the right to physically inspect the Product
and require Buyer to return same to HALE’S plant or Authorized service
Facility.
- In such event, Buyer must notify HALE for a Return Goods
Authorization number and Buyer must return the Product F.O.B. within
(30) days thereof.
- If determined defective, HALE shall, at its option, repair
or replace the Product, or refund the purchase price (less allowance for
depreciation).
- HALE’s reimbursement covers only the standard labor and Hale
components required for the removal, repair, and/or re-installation of
HALE supplied Product.
- HALE’s reimbursement does not cover the standard labor or
components for the removal and reinstallation of non-HALE supplied
components.
- Absent proper notice within the Warranty Period, HALE shall have no further liability or obligation to Buyer therefore.
THE REMEDIES PROVIDED ARE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES
AVAILABLE. IN NO EVENT SHALL HALE BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF LIFE;
PERSONAL INUURY; DAMAGE TO REAL OR PERSONAL PROPERTY DUE TO WATER OR
FIRE; TRADE OR OTHER COMMERICAL LOSSES ARISING, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY
OUT OF PRODUCT FAILURE.
* Portable and float pumps, non-fire
service applications, skids and trailer products sold by Hale are not
covered by this warranty document.
Skid & Trailer Warranty Policy
Limited Warranty
EXPRESS WARRANTY: Hale Products, Inc ("Hale") hereby warrants to
the original buyer that products manufactured by it are free of defects
in material and workmanship for (12) months or 1000 hours of usage
which ever shall first occur. The "Warranty Period" commences on the
date the original buyer takes delivery of the product from the
manufacturer.
LIMITATIONS: HALE’S obligation is expressly conditioned on the Product being:
- Subjected to normal use and service.
- Properly maintained in accordance with HALE’S Instruction Manual as to recommended services and procedures.

Hale Direct Engine Driven Pump Products Warranty Policy
Warranty covers Hale Backpack, Float Pumps, Pump Ends.
(Exception: Skid and Trailer Units. - Refer to Separate Warranty Policy)
The Hale Products, Incorporated, hereby referred to as "Hale",
warrants products to the original buyer that products manufactured by it
are free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of two (2)
years. The "Warranty Period" commences on the date the original buyer
takes delivery of the product from the manufacturer. Products used for
rental or contracting purposes are warranted for a period of six (6)
months or 1000 hours of usage, whichever comes first.
Hale HP Portable Pump Product Warranty Policy
Hale Products, Incorporated, hereby referred to as "Hale",
warrants products to the original buyer that products manufactured by it
are free of defects in material and workmanship for a period two (2)
years1 for HP pumps with serial numbers prior to 12F0000. (prior to
January 1, 2012).
For HP pumps with serial numbers after 12F0000 (after January 1, 2012) the warranty period is three (3) years1.
The "Warranty Period" commences on the date the original buyer takes
delivery of the product from the manufacturer. Products used for rental
or contracting purposes are warranted for a period of six (6) months of
1000 hours of usage, whichever comes first.
This limited warranty is effective only if the equipment or
apparatus is used as directed, is not subjected to issue, negligence or
accident, and is not altered, treated or repaired by someone other than
Hale or its designee. Items not manufactured by Hale shall bear only the
limited warranties offered by their respective manufacturers.
The exclusive remedy for breach of this warranty shall be to
give Hale verbal and/or written notice thereof and to request a Returned
Material Authorization (RMA). Upon receipt of the RMA, the buyer will
return the non-conforming material to Hale F.O.B. its plant within
thirty (30) days after the buyer has received the RMA. Thereupon, Hale
at its own election shall repair or replace the same or repay the price
thereof. No proximate, incidental, consequential or other damages shall
be recoverable.
Hale shall not be liable for consequential damages or contingent
liabilities including, but not limited to; loss of life, personal
injury, loss of corps, loss due to fire or water property damage, and
consequential trade or other commercial loss arising out of failure of
Manufacturer's product.
HALE MAKES NO WARRANTIES OF FREEDOM FROM PATENT INFRINGEMENT, OF
MERCHANTABILITY, OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR ARISING FROM A
COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE OR OTHER LIKE OR DIFFERENT EXPRESS
OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES EXCEPT AS MADE ABOVE.
Scope of Coverage for Portable Pump Warranty
Warranty covers Hale Backpack, Float Pumps, Pump Ends.
Hale covers the following reimburse for authorized warranty work done on their behalf:
- Hale reimburses for labor actually related to the portable pump. Hale does not reimburse for travel time.
- Hale reimburses mileage at their current year established mileage rate.
- Hale reimburses the net pricing of portable pump parts used
in performing this warranty work or ships out replacement parts free of
charge to be used in the repair.
Hale does not cover miscellaneous ‘sundry’ type supplies necessary for performing the repair.
Hale does not repair or cover labor expenses related to the
motor on the portable pumps. Any issues with the portable pump motor
should be directed to the local motor dealer who handles the brand of
motor on the portable pump.
Process
- Contact our Hale Products, Incorporated with your portable
pump situation. Please have the serial number of the pump, and whatever
detailed information is available that explains the issue.
- The outcome of this discussion will result in:
- Hale contacting the user and directing them to a Hale
"Factory Authorized Service Center (FASC)" who will perform an
inspection and diagnosis of the potential problem.
- Hale assigning an RMA to have the unit repaired by the FASC.
- Hale assigning an RMA to have the unit shipped back to Hale for inspection.
- Hale notifying the caller that the issue is related to the motor, and they need to call the local motor dealer for service.
- Hale denying warranty.
- If situation 2.ii occurs the service provider should send a detailed invoice to Hale at the completion of the work.
- If situation 2.iii occurs Hale will inspect the unit and
communicate their findings to the customer. Based on these findings and
this communication, a decision will be made to repair or replace the
unit.
1 This covers HP Portable units being used within the
borders of Canada and the United States. All HP Portable units being
shipped and used outside of these countries will only carry 2 year
warranty period.
Electronic Foam Proportioning System Warranty
LIMITED WARRANTY
EXPRESS WARRANTY. Hale Products Inc. ("Hale") hereby warrants to
the original buyer that products manufactured by it are free of defects
in material and workmanship for one (1) year. The "Warranty Period"
commences on the date the original buyer takes delivery of the product
from the manufacturer.
LIMITATIONS. HALE’S obligation is expressly conditioned on the Product being.
- Subjected to nominal use and service;
- Properly maintained in accordance with HALE’s Instruction Manual as to recommended services and procedures;
- Not damaged due to abuse, misuse, negligence or accidental causes;
- Not altered, modified, serviced (non-routine) or repaired other than by an Authorized Service Facility;
- Manufactured per design and specifications submitted by the original Buyer.
